Types of Cyber Students
The Seneca Valley Academy of Choice OPT Cyber Service can support, Full-time, Part-Time, Hybrid, Blended and Supplemental Students.
Full-Time Cyber Students:
- Work from home or at your school district in a lab/library
- Lab staffed with certified content experts
- Transportation provided daily for all students to the home school building
- Homebound students remain on track for graduation
- Military approved cyber option
Part-Time Cyber Students:
- Students only remain at school for certain school periods
- Students are able to start their day later or end their day early
- Add flexibility to work schedule
- Participate in internship during the school day and work on courses in the evening
- Scheduled hands on electives/chorus/band matched with core cyber courses at home
- Flexible schedule for other activities (ie: Gymnastics, hockey, traveling)
Hybrid Cyber Students:
- Students can take one or more online courses during school day or in addition to traditional school day
- Student may take one or more classes online during the school day
- Avoid scheduling conflicts
- Gain additional periods to school day
- Work can be completed in Cyber Lab or scheduled for Cyber Tutoring
- Half semester course stretched to a year opposite of science labs or jazz band
- Additional electives offered online
Blended Students:
- Students take courses with the assistance of teacher within the classroom
- Transition courses offered
- Technology-enhanced math courses
- Keystone preparation/remediation courses
- Tier 2 RtII strategies available
- Flipped classroom
